This was a particularly rewarding project to deliver. From the outset, the clients placed complete trust in the process. When presented with the initial concept sketch, their response was simple: “Love it - don’t change a thing.” So we didn’t.
While the design evolved through documentation and construction, it remained true to that first drawing - a clarity that carried the project from start to finish.
A key challenge was capturing the dramatic west-facing views while meeting energy performance requirements. Balancing outlook and compliance required careful planning and refinement, much of which is invisible in the finished building.
The surrounding dunes are now being rehabilitated with native planting, further embedding the home into its coastal setting.
